Shooting In The Fog (In Black & White)

Posted: December 20, 2009 in Photography

It’s been a little while since I have just gone out for a casual shoot of something random. I woke up before the sun had risen and headed out. Everyday on my way to work, I have been seeing some epic sunrises and I was hoping to catch something of the sort. Early on I could see that it was going to be solid clouds and possibly some fog. That put the possibility of a sunrise out of the picture. I picked up my brother and we headed out to Lake Terrell for some interesting reflections in the lake. After we shot our share of lake shots, we explored a near by abandoned dairy farm. Since the clouds were so low and so thick, everything was really gray. I decided to not even bother with trying to work out the colors. I decided to make it a “black & white” day. I flipped the camera over to jpeg and away I shot. Here is a few of what I got. Great shots, Chad. You turned a rather flat day into a day of diminsions and contrast with your black and white. Nice choice! Love your snow flakes, too! šŸ˜‰
